Frequently Asked Questions

QI've never sung in a chorus before, can I join?
A: Yes!  This is a great time to try singing in a chorus for a short time.  You don't need to have any particular singing experience!  If you're really new to singing, we will help you identify someone else singing your part that is more experienced, and have you stand close to her. Hearing another singer really helps.

Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: Yes! In fact we'd love that. In fact, bring lots of friends...the more the merrier.

QDo I have to be able to read music?
A: No. Every participant receives links to Learning Tracks, and Sheet Music.  - all you have to do is listen to the Learning Tracks to learn them and come ready to learn some more!

Q: Is there an age limit?
A: All women from the age of 9 years old to 65+ are welcome. For the younger ladies, we suggest a adult accompany them so that they will feel comfortable.

Q:  What is included in the Fee?
A:  Your registration will include access to the Learning Tracks, Sheet Music, 6 weeks of rehearsals, and the opportunity to perform at least twice in the community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is there a costume?
A: Yes! We will coordinate our performance outfits to present an unified look at our community performances.  We will ask everyone to wear black shoes, black pants or black skirt and the tops will be finalized closer to after the first rehearsal.  We also recommend that everyone wear some makeup for the community performances because of the lighting. We recommend the same amount that you would use as if preparing for a special evening out. If you are inexperienced with makeup application, there are many volunteers willing to help.”

Q: What songs will we sing?
A: We're still finalizing the repertoire list but this year they will be about Christmas Toys, and Santa. This year we will be asking everyone to memorize one song.
